\t15 mars 2004 Nos amis internautes de par le monde, surtout aux USA bien entendu, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s rapides \u00e0 \u00e9voquer l’hypoth\u00e8se de la strat\u00e9gie de la tension pour l’attaque de Madrid. L’id\u00e9e est que les attentats seraient plut\u00f4t le r\u00e9sultat d’une manoeuvre de provocation de groupes d’extr\u00eame-droite, soutenus par les Am\u00e9ricains. Quoi qu’il en soit de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 de l’hypoth\u00e8se, c’est un sch\u00e9ma d\u00e9sormais classique, qui renvoie aux ann\u00e9es soixante-dix, \u00e9poque de cette fameuse strat\u00e9gie de la tension, en Italie mais aussi en Belgique. Certains de ces sites US ont remis en ligne quelques articles \u00e9voquant cette p\u00e9riode ; par exemple, celui du Guardian du 26 mars 2001<\/a>, rapportant les r\u00e9v\u00e9lations d’un g\u00e9n\u00e9ral italien en retraite sur l’implication de la CIA dans les \u00e9v\u00e9nements en Italie, dans les ann\u00e9es 1970, toujours int\u00e9ressant \u00e0 relire (en m\u00eame temps qu’on peut revoir l’excellent documentaire de la BBC, en trois volets, sur l’Affaire Gladio<\/em>, rediffus\u00e9 r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement sur la cha\u00eene th\u00e9matique fran\u00e7aise Toute l’Histoire<\/em>).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\tLe r\u00e9sultat des \u00e9lections de dimanche contredit-il la th\u00e8se ? Pas du tout puisqu’on peut faire l’analyse th\u00e9orique qu’une telle attaque aurait d\u00fb, du point de vue am\u00e9ricain qui se r\u00e9f\u00e8re au pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent du 11 septembre, provoquer l’effet exactement inverse (regroupement autour du gouvernement anti-terroriste dur<\/a>). L’hypoth\u00e8se n’est donc pas discr\u00e9dit\u00e9e, ce n’est pas la premi\u00e8re fois que des services clandestins se tromperaient du tout au tout, elle reste d’actualit\u00e9 et m\u00e9rite d’\u00eatre \u00e9voqu\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bb Everyone is guessing about Spain. It wasn’t terrorism, as terrorism requires someone taking responsibility for the attacks in order to use the threat of violence against civilians to force politicians towards a political goal. The Abu Hafs Al-Masri Brigades, who initially took responsibility, are responsibility sluts, claiming involvement in everything (including last summer’s blackout in the U. S. and Canada!), which removes the credibility from all their claims. Since no ETA group has claimed responsibility (and note that the Spanish government accused the ETA before Spanish officials could possibly have had any evidence, proving once again how the term ‘terrorism’ is used by those in power to vilify those who lack power), and the latest ‘al Qaeda’ claim is a day late and a Euro short, there is no legitimate claim of responsibility, and the attack cannot be traditional terrorism. The fact that the police have already rounded up the usual suspects means nothing. The attacks appear to be closer to a ‘strategy of terror’, where groups associated with those in power use terrorism threats against civilians to put political pressure on the politicians – in this case, welcome political pressure – to lead the politicians to enact right-wing legislation banning dissent and increasing the power of the police state, all justified by the necessity to fight the ‘war on terrorism’. The discovery of the truck containing detonators and a tape in Arabic is a nice touch to create racial tension in Spain, although tricks like this have been used so often they are getting a little too obvious. The most likely candidates for the Madrid explosions are extreme right-wingers associated with both the Franquist edge of the governing conservative Popular Party which is really more at the center than the edge as the party was founded by one of Franco’s ministers who is still a major power in the party and the Spanish military. I wouldn’t call the Popular Party fascists, but some of their friends certainly are. It was not that long ago (1981) that these same people attempted a coup in Spain, and they are still a powerful force behind the scenes. We will probably never know the truth, as it cuts too close to very deep power structures in Spain.<\/em> \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
