Son objectif : la coop\u00e9ration europ\u00e9enne dans le programme JSF. Il renforce ainsi, notamment, la th\u00e8se expos\u00e9e <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dedefensa.org\/article.php?art_id=1472\" class=\"gen\">par William Pfaff le 16 avril<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tCe mouvement est irr\u00e9sistible. Le Congr\u00e8s voulant retrouver son statut par un activisme qui lui soit propre et ne pouvant exercer cet activisme, dans les mati\u00e8res ext\u00e9rieures, que sur le contr\u00f4le des exportations et autres transferts de technologies, c&rsquo;est dans ce domaine que son action s&rsquo;exercera jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 l&rsquo;hyst\u00e9rie. L&rsquo;esprit anti-europ\u00e9en qui r\u00e8gne partout \u00e0 Washington, et surtout au Congr\u00e8s, renforce cette tendance. Comme il n&rsquo;y a qu&rsquo;un cas s\u00e9rieux de transfert de technologie potentiel (d&rsquo;ailleurs fictif, car m\u00eame en temps normal il ne se ferait pas), un seul cas o\u00f9 peut s&rsquo;exercer cette rh\u00e9torique protectionniste, agressive et anti-europ\u00e9enne, ce cas sera \u00e9videmment choisi,  et c&rsquo;et le JSF, rubrique coop\u00e9ration internationale. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dedefensa.org\/article.php?art_id=1474\" class=\"gen\">La chasse aux sorci\u00e8res<\/a> est ouverte, comme on le sait, et elle a de beaux jours devant elle.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tEn attendant, voici Hunter, surnomm\u00e9 <em>Mister Buy American Act<\/em>, dans ses uvres.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab <em>Hunter warned that lifting the European arms embargo against China should cause us to reconsider our entire security relationship with Europe. He singled out the Joint Strike Fighter as a project likely to be in jeopardy if the embargo is lifted.<\/em> <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb <em>The stealth fighter being developed by the United States and a half dozen European partners is very capable. If that technology made its way to China, it could cause enormous problems for the American fleet, Hunter said. European firms are working with us and availing themselves of some of our most sensitive technology.
