Senior Pentagon officials had hoped to incorporate conclusions of massive internal review in 2007 spending plan. But the review is moving slowly amid bureaucratic inertia and resistance from lawmakers protecting pet programs.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb <em>The review could threaten established weapons systems such as fighter jets and warships. Irregular warfare shall be given priority comparable to traditional military operations, reads one Pentagon document from the review. Aides say Rumsfeld&rsquo;s last chance for transformation will come next year. If we don&rsquo;t get this stuff into the 2008 budget&#8230;we&rsquo;ve lost, one military official says.<\/em> \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dedefensa.org\/article.php?art_id=1635\" class=\"gen\">Confirmation<\/a> que la QDR-2005, annonc\u00e9e comme un \u00e9norme mammouth r\u00e9volutionnaire, s&rsquo;est enlis\u00e9e dans les neiges d&rsquo;antan et accouchera d&rsquo;une souris cafardeuse et tristounette, en plus avec un retard consid\u00e9rable (au format conservateur o\u00f9 elle s&rsquo;annonce, la QDR aurait pu suivre le rythme normal et sortir en mai 2005).
