Ce n&rsquo;est pas un m\u00e9chant homme. Il eut un r\u00f4le capital puisqu&rsquo;il fut <em>Speaker<\/em> (r\u00e9publicain) de la Chambre des Repr\u00e9sentants du Congr\u00e8s US durant les ann\u00e9es 1990. A ce titre, il mena une r\u00e9volution conservatrice de plus (triomphante lors des \u00e9lections de novembre 1994) qui paralysa la pr\u00e9sidence Clinton. Aujourd&rsquo;hui, revenu dans le civil comme consultant grassement pay\u00e9, il copine avec celle qu&rsquo;il excommuniait hier, avec Hillary Clinton devenue entre temps une super-<em>hawk<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tGingrich, comme Hillary, est en pointe dans le parti de la guerre contre l&rsquo;Iran. Gingrich r\u00e9pond \u00e0 une interview \u00e0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.humaneventsonline.com\/article.php?id=12188\" class=\"gen\">Human Events<\/a>, le 10 f\u00e9vrier. Cela nous vaut quelques analogies de choix avec l&rsquo;Histoire favorite de ces gens-l\u00e0 (Hitler-Munich-Churchil &#038; compagnie), et une vision privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e sur l&rsquo;ignorance vertigineuse de Gingrich. C&rsquo;est l&rsquo;histoire approximative ass\u00e9n\u00e9e p\u00e9remptoirement.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tPartick J. Buchanan, qui est au moins historien s&rsquo;il n&rsquo;a pas bonne r\u00e9putation (puisque critique des entreprises guerri\u00e8res), s&rsquo;en pourl\u00e8che les babines. We now know who they are  the question is who are we. Are we Baldwin or Churchill?<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb <em>In 1935  Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini intimidated the democracies, Newt plunged ahead. The question is who is going to intimidate who. Yes, a little learning can be a dangerous thing.<\/em> <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb <em>A few facts. First, when Hitler violated the Versailles Treaty by announcing rearmament in March 1935, Baldwin was not in power. Second, Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald quickly met with Il Duce to form the Stresa Front  against Hitler. Third, when Mussolini invaded Abyssinia in October 1935, Baldwin imposed sanctions.<\/em> <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb <em>But Churchill did not wholly approve. Abyssinia, said Churchill, is a wild land of tyranny, slavery, and tribal war.
