The energy-NATO would mean that the EU countries, just like NATO members, would agree to help each other out with energy supplies, in whichever form but without the use of force, said Kaczynski in an interview published in Spiegel on Monday. The row about the Russian gas deliveries put a spot light on the dangers existing in this area and it was the Russians who pointed them out to us, said Kaczynski.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n \t\u00bb Poland was outraged last year when then-Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a deal to build a pipeline under the Baltic Sea. The reasons for this bilateral pipeline through the Baltic Sea were of a purely political nature, said Kaczynski. The pipeline is set to carry Russian gas to Germany while bypassing Poland, which relies heavily on supplies from Russia. We want the best possible relationship with Russia, but we are very alert to the German-Russian relationship, he added.<\/em> \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \tLa constante polonaise est un peu ordinaire ent\u00eatement politique contre la Russie. On nous pr\u00e9sente en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral l’arriv\u00e9e de la Pologne (pr\u00e8s de 40 millions d’habitants) dans l’UE comme apport important pour l’Europe et pour l’UE. Comme d’habitude, on confond quantit\u00e9 et qualit\u00e9. Cette passe d’arme sugg\u00e8re plut\u00f4t le constat que l’entr\u00e9e de la Pologne dans l’UE a largement fait reculer l’esprit europ\u00e9en (cela en r\u00e9jouira certains).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \tPour l’instant, la politique polonaise est totalement format\u00e9e selon la formule OTAN, et la proposition de Kaczynski a le charme de proposer l’introduction symbolique d’une OTAN au cur de l’UE.
