Il est minoritaire, lib\u00e9ral et pro-am\u00e9ricain. La premi\u00e8re crise qu&rsquo;il affronte concerne les projets am\u00e9ricanistes de d\u00e9ployer des syst\u00e8mes anti-missiles dans ce pays. Le nouveau gouvernement s&rsquo;y est d\u00e9clar\u00e9 tr\u00e8s favorable.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tContre ce projet : l&rsquo;opposition sociale-d\u00e9mocrate ainsi que le parti communiste. Un sondage dit que 51% des Tch\u00e8ques jugent ce projet \u00ab<em>inacceptable<\/em>\u00bb et 61% pensent qu&rsquo;il faut le soumettre \u00e0 un r\u00e9f\u00e9rendum avant la moindre d\u00e9cision.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tUne <a href=\"\/Czech%20Govt%20Under%20Fire%20Over%20US%20Missile%20Plans%3C\/p%3E%3C\/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cp%3Ehttp:\/\/www.spacewar.com\/reports\/Czech_Govt_Under_Fire_Over_US_Missile_Plans_999.htm\" class=\"gen\">d\u00e9p\u00eache<\/a> <em>Spacewar.com<\/em>\/AFP d\u00e9crit la situation de cette fa\u00e7on :<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>The missile issue has become the country&rsquo;s hottest post-election talking point, with politicians of all colours making daily comments on the question.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>Outgoing Social Democrat premier, Jiri Paroubek, has voice his opposition to the project in line with an internal poll of party members.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>The Communist Party, which called for an exit from NATO&rsquo;s military structures ahead of the elections, has launched a petition against the US plan, with the party claiming more than 15,000 signatures. The Communists this week also presented a constitutional proposal for a national referendum on the issue.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>But despite the findings of the opinion polls, few Czechs have actively taken part in the small number of pacifist or anti-American demonstrations that have been organised in opposition to the missile scheme.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>Nevertheless, many people here see any type of US installation as a form of foreign military occupation, sparking painful memories of the seven-year German occupation of the country before and during World War II and the later Soviet presence, according to the local press.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tLe Pentagone a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 qu&rsquo;il lui fallait au moins deux pays pour le d\u00e9ploiement de ses syst\u00e8mes anti-missiles, dont l&rsquo;argument continue imperturbablement \u00e0 \u00eatre qu&rsquo;ils sont n\u00e9cessaires pour la d\u00e9fense contre une attaque iranienne ou nord-cor\u00e9enne. La Pologne et la Tch\u00e9quie semblent \u00eatre les deux cibles du Pentagone en Europe pour ce d\u00e9ploiement. (Les Polonais voudraient des compensations sous la forme d&rsquo;une alimentation US en \u00e9nergie pour moins d\u00e9pendre de la Russie. Cette demande n&rsquo;a gu\u00e8re de chance d&rsquo;\u00eatre satisfaite.)<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tLa pression va \u00eatre maximale cet automne, culminant au sommet de l&rsquo;OTAN \u00e0 Riga, \u00e0 la fin novembre.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tDans tous les cas, une d\u00e9cision du gouvernement tch\u00e8que sur cette question n\u00e9cessite une approbation du Parlement o\u00f9 partisans et adversaires du projet semblent se diviser \u00e0 \u00e9galit\u00e9.
