Il fallait voir cette s\u00e9quence d’un reportage d’Envoy\u00e9 Sp\u00e9cial<\/em>, sur la deuxi\u00e8me cha\u00eene fran\u00e7aise dimanche soir, o\u00f9 des soldats isra\u00e9liens discutent avec leur officier, ce dernier insistant pour que les combattants du Hezbollah soient nomm\u00e9s terroristes, et un soldat r\u00e9p\u00e9tant avec ent\u00eatement : \u00abPourquoi terroristes? Ce sont des soldats, et ils se battent rudement bien.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\tM\u00eame chose pour les talibans en Afghanistan. On croyait qu’ils d\u00e9camperaient comme des lapins \u00e0 l’apparition des super-warriors<\/em> de l’OTAN, bard\u00e9s de super-technologies et de canons \u00e0 tir super-intelligent. L’Ouest vertueux, d\u00e9mocratique, lib\u00e9ral et propre sur lui est aussi arrogant, aveugle, stupide et \u00e9ventuellement raciste.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\tLes Britanniques commencent \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre leurs erreurs d’\u00e9valuation pour ce qui concerne les combattants talibans. Terroristes? Soldats? Dans tous les cas, bwana<\/em>, nous stupides<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00abThe defence secretary, Des Browne, will admit today that Britain and its Nato allies seriously underestimated the strength of the Taliban and the violent resistance faced by western forces in Afghanistan. The Taliban’s tenacity in the face of massive losses has been a surprise, absorbing more of our effort than predicted and consequently slowing progress on reconstruction, he will say in a speech to the Royal United Services Institute in London.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbThough he says it was expected that the Taliban would fight hard, he will add: We do have to accept that it’s been even harder than we expected.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbThe defence secretary is also expected to tell his audience: Success won’t be what we understand by security and prosperity and proper governance, but it will be progress and it will be massively worth achieving.\u00bb He is expected to admit that that seemed some way off against the current background of intense fighting and of little progress on building up public institutions and infrastructure in southern Afghanistan.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
