\t\u00abThe American ambassador to Kabul has accused European members of Nato of jeopardising the future of the alliance by refusing to send troops to Afghanistan, or banning their forces from entering areas with heavy fighting.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbRonald Neumann, who has survived two attempts on his life this year, said European nations must not turn coward and run away from fighting terrorism in Afghanistan.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbIn an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel, Mr Neumann said some Europeans obviously resist the idea that you have an army in order to fight. And I have very little patience for that.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbMr Neumann criticised the caveats placed on forces from Germany, Norway, Belgium and other nations variously keeping them away from the south, away from heavy combat zones, or forbidding them from going out at night.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

L’ambassadeur US \u00e0 Kaboul ne d\u00e9tonne pas. Son accusation de couardise des Europ\u00e9ens (apr\u00e8s tout, les USA ont reproch\u00e9 pendant des si\u00e8cles aux Europ\u00e9ens leurs guerres incessantes ceci va avec cela) rejoint les d\u00e9marches habituelles des n\u00e9o-conservateurs de service, preuve que ces minoritaires-l\u00e0 sont \u00e0 leur place l\u00e0 o\u00f9 ils sont.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\tLe courage am\u00e9ricaniste est un d\u00e9fi redoutable lanc\u00e9 aux Europ\u00e9ens. Il s’exerce en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral \u00e0 un contre dix, contre des civils irakiens ou contre des villageois afghans, avec l’appui intensif de l’U.S. Air force. Ou bien, contre un intervieweur terrifi\u00e9 du Spiegel.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
