This time, in what was considered the \u00a0\u00bbachievement\u00a0\u00bb of the current visit, Israel also promised to open the Karni crossing. Karni will be open, one can assume, only slightly more than the \u00a0\u00bbsafe passage,\u00a0\u00bb which never opened following the previous futile visit.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n\t\u00bbRice has been here six times in the course of a year and a half, and what has come of it? Has anyone asked her about this? Does she ask herself? <\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n\t\u00bbIt is hard to understand how the secretary of state allows herself to be so humiliated. It is even harder to understand how the superpower she represents allows itself to act in such a hollow and useless way. The mystery of America remains unsolved: How is it that the United States is doing nothing to advance a solution to the most dangerous and lengthiest conflict in our world? Sa diplomatie de force (que Gid\u00e9on L\u00e9vy rappelle dans son article) a \u00e9t\u00e9 remplac\u00e9e par la force tout court (les \u00e9lucubrations diverses sur la puissance US), qui s’av\u00e8re compl\u00e8tement inadapt\u00e9e \u00e0 tout ce qu’elle est cens\u00e9e traiter et provoque catastrophe sur catastrophe. La fin de la course pour les USA, c’est l’hyperpuissance devenue hyper-impuissance.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
