Des indications donn\u00e9es par le quotidien <em>The Independent<\/em> de <a href=\"http:\/\/news.independent.co.uk\/business\/news\/article2021446.ece\" class=\"gen\">ce jour<\/a> vont dans ce sens, appuy\u00e9es sur l&rsquo;annonce que les Saoudiens seraient sur le point d&rsquo;annuler leur contrat portant sur 72 avions de combat <em>Typhoon<\/em> en faveur d&rsquo;une commande de 24 \u00e0 36 <em>Rafale<\/em> fran\u00e7ais :<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>Fears are mounting that Saudi Arabia is about to cancel a \u00a310bn deal to buy British-built Eurofighter Typhoon jets and purchase a rival French aircraft instead because of a long-running fraud inquiry into its relationship with BAE Systems.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Sources close to the negotiations say that the Saudis could decide to order between 24 and 36 Rafale fighters from Dassault, of France, in the next few days.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t()<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>This isn&rsquo;t sabre-rattling any longer. The sabre is out of its scabbard and is being brandished over our heads, one UK defence source said. The Saudis are serious about switching to the French and it could happen in the next 24 to 48 hours.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tLe quotidien semble indiquer que l&rsquo;une des causes de l&rsquo;aggravation soudaine de la situation pourrait \u00eatre le comportement du gouvernement britannique qui n&rsquo;aurait pas pris initialement la mesure de la gravit\u00e9 de la situation. Le gouvernement Blair, et particuli\u00e8rement le Foreign Office avec son nouveau ministre Margaret Beckett, n&rsquo;aurait pas appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 la col\u00e8re saoudienne et s&rsquo;en serait tenu \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9valuation qu&rsquo;il ne s&rsquo;agissait que de pressions pour tenter d&rsquo;obtenir une modification de l&rsquo;enqu\u00eate en cours.
