Il s&rsquo;agit de l&rsquo;\u00e9chec (\u00e9ventuel) de l&rsquo;offensive dite <em>Iraq surge<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t  C&rsquo;est le <em>Sunday Times<\/em> d&rsquo;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.timesonline.co.uk\/tol\/news\/world\/iraq\/article1364760.ece\" class=\"gen\">aujourd&rsquo;hui<\/a> qui nous pr\u00e9sente, d&rsquo;ailleurs assez courtement, la nouvelle. None of those who are taking part in these exercises, shielded from the public view and the immediate scrutiny of the White House, believes that the so-called surge will succeed. I asked him at the White House, Mr. President, why do you think this time it&rsquo;s going to work?&rsquo; And he said, Because I told them it had to.&rsquo; She repeated his words: I told them that they had to.&rsquo; That was the end of it. That&rsquo;s the way it is.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t()<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Quietly and calmly, as the Republicans hype the surge, the war planners prepare for the worst.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tEffectivement, ces mesures de pr\u00e9caution, cette planification pour le pire n&rsquo;ont rien d&rsquo;exceptionnel ni d&rsquo;alarmant, techniquement parlant. Mais nous serions plut\u00f4t d&rsquo;humeur psychologiquement parlant. Cette perspective horrible de la d\u00e9faite est compl\u00e8tement bannie du langage convenu et du conformisme des esprits en cours \u00e0 Washington, et pourtant elle est dramatiquement crainte et per\u00e7ue comme probable sinon in\u00e9vitable dans tous les esprits (sauf ceux de Bush-Cheney).
