La logique g\u00e9opolitique la conduit par cons\u00e9quent \u00e0 mettre en cause la pr\u00e9sence US en Irak, pr\u00e9misse d&rsquo;une mise en cause de la m\u00eame pr\u00e9sence US dans toute la r\u00e9gion. Le paradoxe est bien s\u00fbr que cette d\u00e9marche saoudienne a \u00e9t\u00e9 largement appuy\u00e9e, voire sollicit\u00e9e par les USA au d\u00e9part, puisqu&rsquo;elle \u00e9tait d&rsquo;abord con\u00e7ue pour contrer l&rsquo;extension de l&rsquo;influence iranienne \u00e0 l&rsquo;occasion des d\u00e9boires US en Irak. L&rsquo;affirmation de l&rsquo;Arabie est la cons\u00e9quence directe, pour la r\u00e9gion, du d\u00e9clin g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l&rsquo;influence et de la puissance des USA. (Le r\u00e9sultat sera-t-il un partage d&rsquo;influence entre l&rsquo;Arabie et l&rsquo;Iran ?)<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tCette \u00e9volution anti-US, m\u00eame si elle est tr\u00e8s mesur\u00e9e et tr\u00e8s calcul\u00e9e de la part des archi-prudents Saoudiens, avec leur alliance complexe avec les USA, r\u00e9pond \u00e9videmment aux sollicitations de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 historique. A c\u00f4t\u00e9 de tous les calculs, toutes les manoeuvres, toutes les appr\u00e9ciations sur la politique de l&rsquo;une ou l&rsquo;autre puissance r\u00e9gionale, et surtout de l&rsquo;Iran, il y a l&rsquo;\u00e9vidence,  la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 historique,  de l&rsquo;imposture de la pr\u00e9sence US, de l&rsquo;ill\u00e9galit\u00e9 historique de l&rsquo;intervention anglo-saxonne dans la r\u00e9gion. Impossible d&rsquo;y \u00e9chapper, m\u00eame pour l&rsquo;Arabie Saoudite ; impossible d&rsquo;y \u00e9chapper, si l&rsquo;Arabie Saoudite entend effectivement tenir le r\u00f4le qu&rsquo;elle d\u00e9veloppe.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tD&rsquo;o\u00f9 la <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iht.com\/articles\/2007\/03\/29\/africa\/web-0329saudi.php\" class=\"gen\">sortie<\/a> du roi Abdallah, au d\u00e9but du sommet de la Ligue Arabe de Riad ; et aussi l&rsquo;invitation du pr\u00e9sident iranien dans la capitale saoudienne, l&rsquo;appel \u00e0 la cessation du boycott du gouvernement palestinien, l&rsquo;intention de n\u00e9gocier avec le Hezbollah et ainsi de suite.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia told Arab leaders on Wednesday that the American occupation of Iraq was illegal and warned that unless Arab governments settled their differences, foreign powers like the United States would continue to dictate the region&rsquo;s politics.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>The king&rsquo;s speech, at the opening of the Arab League meeting here, underscored growing differences between Saudi Arabia and the Bush administration as the Saudis take on a greater leadership role in the Middle East, partly at American urging.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>The Saudis seem to be emphasizing that they will not be beholden to the policies of their longtime ally.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>They brokered a deal between the two main Palestinian factions last month, but one that Israel and the United States found deeply problematic because it added to the power of the radical group Hamas rather than the more moderate Fatah. On Wednesday King Abdullah called for an end to the international boycott of the new Palestinian government. The United States and Israel want the boycott continued.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>In addition, Abdullah invited President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran to Riyadh earlier this month, while the Americans want him shunned. And in trying to settle the tensions in Lebanon, the Saudis have been willing to negotiate with Iran and Hezbollah.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Last week the Saudi king canceled his appearance next month at a White House dinner in his honor, The Washington Post reported Wednesday.
