Selon le Sunday Telegraph<\/em>, Gore pr\u00e9parerait, ou pourrait laisser se pr\u00e9parer en secret une entr\u00e9e-surprise dans la campagne \u00e9lectorale. Un argument en faveur de cette interpr\u00e9tation semble se confirmer chaque jour : l’incertitude de la campagne 2008, l’absence d’une personnalit\u00e9 qui puisse faire moralement ou politiquement l’accord d’une majorit\u00e9, par cons\u00e9quent l’abondance des candidats et ainsi de suite. A noter que Bill Clinton s’est publiquement d\u00e9clar\u00e9 d’avis qu’on doit compter sur la possibilit\u00e9 de la pr\u00e9sence de Gore dans la campagne.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\tEn un sens, les USA pr\u00e9sentent un paysage politique encore plus tortur\u00e9 que celui qu’a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 la France jusqu’au premier tour des pr\u00e9sidentielles d’aujourd’hui. Il s’agit \u00e9videmment, de ce point de vue, d’une crise majeure de la d\u00e9mocratie occidentale et des \u00e9lites politiques.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbBut, aware that he may step into the wide open race for the White House, former strategists are sounding out a shadow team that could run his campaign at short notice. In approaching former campaign staff, including political strategists and communications officials, they are making clear they are not acting on formal instructions from Mr Gore, 59, but have not been asked to stop.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbHis denials of interest in the presidency have been couched in terms of no plans or no intention politically ambiguous language that does not rule out a run.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbOne of his former campaign team said: I was asked whether I would be available towards the end of the year if I am needed. They know he has not ruled out running and if he decides to jump in, he will have to move very fast. He hasn’t asked them to do this, but nor has he told them not to.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbIn an interview on Thursday, which touched on the prospects for next year’s presidential election, Mr Clinton commented: You’ve got the prospect that Vice-President Gore might run.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
