Ces pressions sont de plus en plus <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dedefensa.org\/article.php?art_id=4188\" class=\"gen\">puissantes<\/a> mais GW Bush est un homme m\u00e9diocre \u00e0 la <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dedefensa.org\/article.php?art_id=4165\" class=\"gen\">psychologie de fer<\/a>. Cela repr\u00e9sente,  la m\u00e9diocrit\u00e9 et une psychologie de fer,  la combinaison la plus efficace pour ne pas c\u00e9der \u00e0 la raison.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tL&rsquo;avis de Matthew Rothschild, de <em>Progressive.org<\/em>, exprim\u00e9 dans un billet du <a href=\"http:\/\/www.progressive.org\/mag_wx070607\" class=\"gen\">6 juillet<\/a>, est bien que GW Bush ne c\u00e9dera pas \u00e0 ces pressions. Il faudra un acte l\u00e9gislatif tranch\u00e9, imp\u00e9ratif, un vote du Congr\u00e8s cat\u00e9gorique par exemple sur le financement de la guerre, ce qui para\u00eet bien improbable tant les parlementaires craignent de para\u00eetre trahir les <em>boys<\/em> m\u00eame s&rsquo;ils expriment des opinions anti-guerres.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>Even as Bush keeps losing fans among Republicans in the Senate, don&rsquo;t bet that&rsquo;s going to change his mind on Iraq.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>This man gives stubbornness a bad name.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>He&rsquo;s said in the past that he&rsquo;s going to stay on course even if the only people supporting him are Laura and Barney. But Cheney is, and the two of them have the utmost disdain for the Senate.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>What do they care if Senator Lugar, or Voinovich, or Domenici, or Warner clears his throat and utters some faint criticism of the war? Until these Senators are prepared to vote against continued funding for the war  and none of them are now  Bush and Cheney can go on their bloody way.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Many pundits are in fantasyland about the fabled wise men of the party going up to the White House and prevailing on Bush and Cheney. Get over it. Bush and Cheney can&rsquo;t be budged.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>They are unsusceptible to rational argument.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>They are unmoved by political calculations, since they&rsquo;re not running for office in 2008.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>And anyway, Bush thinks he&rsquo;s getting the word from on high to keep plunging ahead with this war.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>His faith is very strong, said Michael Novak, a conservative theologian who recently met with Bush.
