L&rsquo;ordre d&rsquo;immobilisation concernant toute la flotte des F-15, touche notamment les F-15 de la d\u00e9fense continentale des USA (NORAD, pour North American Aerospace Defense). Cheney aurait object\u00e9 d&rsquo;une fa\u00e7on tr\u00e8s pressante qu&rsquo;une telle mesure pouvait susciter la tentation d&rsquo;une attaque terroriste.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tC&rsquo;est pour cette raison que, d\u00e8s le 7 novembre, le commandement CONR qui est charg\u00e9 des activit\u00e9s r\u00e9gionales de d\u00e9fense a\u00e9rienne de NORAD, a publi\u00e9 un <a href=\"http:\/\/www.1af.acc.af.mil\/media\/archive\/story.asp?id=123075142\" class=\"gen\">communiqu\u00e9<\/a> affirmant qu&rsquo;en cas d&rsquo;alerte les F-15 pourraient tout de m\u00eame voler et que, dans tous les cas, les missions de d\u00e9fense pouvaient \u00eatre assur\u00e9s par des F-16.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>The U.S. Air Force suspended non-mission critical F-15 flight operations Nov. 3 following the crash of a Missouri Air National Guard F-15C aircraft Nov. 2.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>In the interim, the Air Force officials have said mission requirements will be met by other aircraft with the similar capabilities, such as the F-16.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>As the transition is taking place, the F-15 may still fly under a mandatory scramble order.
