Depuis deux ans et demi qu&rsquo;on pr\u00e9pare l&rsquo;attaque par surprise et sans avertissement et qu&rsquo;elle ne vient toujours pas, on fatigue un peu. Et soudain, Justin Raimundo a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 la chose et il en a fait le sujet de son commentaire <a href=\"http:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/justin\/?articleid=11939\" class=\"gen\">du jour<\/a>:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>Iran seems to be the Hitler du jour, with all the usual suspects clamoring for a strike at Tehran, and others pointing to Lebanon, Syria, and Somalia as new frontiers in the push to establish an American empire of the Middle East.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>I wrote about this last Monday, in Wars to Watch Out For, but neglected one important potential battlefield: Pakistan.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tEffectivement, nous sommes un peu lents. Lisez donc leur chute et demandez-vous donc si ce n&rsquo;est pas un grand bonheur d&rsquo;avoir de si preux chevaliers qui veillent sur notre s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e0 tous, avec ce s\u00e9rieux, cette componction, cette appr\u00e9ciation mesur\u00e9e?<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>The great paradox of the post-cold war world is that we are both safer, day to day, and in greater peril than before. There was a time when volatility in places like Pakistan was mostly a humanitarian worry; today it is as much a threat to our basic security as Soviet tanks once were. We must be militarily and diplomatically prepared to keep ourselves safe in such a world. Pakistan may be the next big test.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tOutre Raimundo, qui \u00e9ructe et fulmine contre l&rsquo;extraordinaire manigance perp\u00e9tuelle du <em>War Party<\/em> et de des porteurs d&rsquo;eau (Kagan-O&rsquo;Hanlon), il y a aussi <em>WSWS.org<\/em> qui analyse, plus sobrement et avec son habituelle s\u00e9v\u00e9rit\u00e9 doctrinale, les projets US qui seraient donc d&rsquo;appliquer la m\u00e9thode Petraeus (la <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dedefensa.org\/article.php?art_id=4632 \" class=\"gen\">victoire \u00e0 la Petraeus<\/a>) en allant targeter divers groupes pakistanais \u00e0 coup de bombes remplies de dollars.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em> In the midst of public statements of support for democracy in Pakistan and the recent visit to Islamabad by the American envoy John Negroponte, Washington is quietly preparing for a stepped-up military intervention in the crisis-ridden country.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>According to the New York Times Monday, plans have been drawn up by the US military&rsquo;s Special Operations Command for deploying Special Forces troops in Pakistan&rsquo;s frontier regions for the purpose of training indigenous militias to combat forces aligned with the Taliban and Al Qaeda.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Citing unnamed military officials, the newspaper reports that the proposal would expand the presence of military trainers in Pakistan, directly finance a separate tribal paramilitary force that until now has proved largely ineffective and pay militias that agreed to fight Al Qaeda and foreign extremists.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>American military officials familiar with the proposal said that it was modeled on the initiative by American occupation forces in Iraq to arm and support Sunni militias in Anbar province in a campaign against the Al Qaeda in Iraq group there.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t()<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>What is now being seriously contemplated is yet another colonial-style war in a region that stretches across the Middle East and Central and South Asia, from Iraq to Pakistan, with the objective of salvaging, with or without Musharraf, the Pakistani militarythe corrupt and repressive instrument with which Washington has been aligned for decades.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>The crisis in Pakistan is symptomatic of the ever-widening instability created by the two warsin Afghanistan and Iraqwhich Washington has waged to tighten the US grip over the region&rsquo;s energy resources.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Now, with open and simultaneous discussions of possible military interventions in Iran and Pakistan, what is emerging is the growing threat of a global military conflagration.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tEffectivement, l&rsquo;argent semble bien \u00eatre le nerf de la guerre, de l&rsquo;impr\u00e9cation pour la guerre, de l&rsquo;argument pour la guerre, de l&rsquo;alliance pour la guerre, bref pour pour tout ce qui concerne la guerre, la guerre, la guerre. Raimundo, qui est en train de conduire une campagne de donation pour <em>Antiwar.com<\/em> qui a du mal \u00e0 atteindre son but, s&rsquo;en plaint am\u00e8rement. L&rsquo;\u00e9talage impudent et \u00e0 ciel ouvert de cette campagne sans fin pour la guerre, la guerre, la guerre, est un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne qui ne cessera de surprendre, plus tard, l&rsquo;observateur qui aura par ailleurs constat\u00e9 l&rsquo;extr\u00eame moralisme et la rigueur pacificatrice des bonnes consciences qui conduisent notre civilisation. Quelques mots de l&rsquo;\u00e9ructation raimundesque:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>I&rsquo;m talking about the policy wonks like Kagan and O&rsquo;Hanlon, from AEI and the Brookings Institution respectively. As Matt Yglesias pointed out in a recent post on think tanks, these outfits are, if not exempt from the laws of the market, then sufficiently cushioned  by large donors to nonprofits and for-profit nonprofits like the Weekly Standard  that they operate in the sort of intellectual and moral vacuum that allows Kagan and O&rsquo;Hanlon to propose what would probably be the single most destructive war in American history. This would prove to be true, not only in the devastation of Pakistan and Pakistanis, but also in terms of the damage it would do to our society and the American polity. You think we&rsquo;re divided now? Wait until we have a draft to carry out the orders of Generals Kagan and O&rsquo;Hanlon.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tA c\u00f4t\u00e9 de cela, et \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de leur impudence et de la puissance de leurs attaques m\u00e9diatiques et virtualistes, tous ces types, les Kagan-O&rsquo;Hanlon &#038; compagnie, ont aussi quelque chose de plus en plus grotesque et de plus en plus vain, \u00e0 hurler \u00e0 la guerre depuis la catastrophe irakienne, \u00e0 nous annoncer l&rsquo;attaque pour chaque lendemain depuis 2003 au moins.
