Cela rappelle<\/a> des craintes qu’on pr\u00eatait \u00e0 Hillary en 2007, quant \u00e0 sa participation \u00e0 une campagne et \u00e0 sa crainte sp\u00e9cifique pour sa s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \t\u00abThe panel on ABC’s The View focused some time on Thursday’s show on the possibility of Barack Obama being the target of an assassination attempt and what effect that should have on how people view his possible vice presidential choices.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n \t\u00abThere’s a fear that because maybe there’s an underlying racist tone in this country, that maybe Barack’s life would be in danger and therefore who his vice presidential running mate would be is someone that we should really look at,\u00a0\u00bb said<\/em> [the show’s host Elisabeth Hasselback].<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \t\u00bbHasselback’s co-host, Whoopi Goldberg, responded by pointing out that it is not just Obama that could be a future target. I think<\/em> [Hillary Clinton] stands as much of a chance, she said. We’ve seen white guys get hit. We’ve seen black men get hit. Everyone is susceptible to someone who doesn’t agree strongly.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n \t\u00bbLater, when another panel member brought up concerns from some older African-Americans for Obama’s safety, Goldberg again weighed in, saying, But let’s keep this in perspective. John F. Kennedy was not black, neither was Ronald Reagan, or [JFK’s] brother.
