Cette liste justement, qui est mise \u00e0 jour au jour le jour, a r\u00e9cemment pass\u00e9 le cap du million de terroristes r\u00e9pertori\u00e9s,  sans qu&rsquo;on sache si une r\u00e9compense sp\u00e9ciale a \u00e9t\u00e9 attribu\u00e9e au millioni\u00e8me nomin\u00e9, \u00a0 et c&rsquo;est \u00e0 ce propos que Craig Robert en a une bien bonne Sur <em>Antiwar.com<\/em>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/roberts\/?articleid=13153\" class=\"gen\">aujourd&rsquo;hui<\/a>. Ecoutez-le, furieux comme \u00e0 son habitude:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>The Bush Regime&rsquo;s terrorist protection schemes have reached the height of total incompetence and utter absurdity. According to the American Civil Liberties Union, a private organization that defends the US Constitution that inattentive Americans neglect, there are now one million names on the terrorist watch list.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>One of them is that of former Assistant US Attorney General Jim Robinson, whose top security clearances are current. Every time Mr. Robinson flies away on business, he is delayed by a totally incompetent terrorist protection racket that cannot tell a person named Jim Robinson, who served in the highest echelons of the US government, from a Muslim terrorist.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>What confidence can we have in a regime that is incapable of differentiating an Assistant US Attorney General from a terrorist?<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Mr. Robinson said: If I were convinced that America is a safer place because I get hassled at the airport, I might put up with it, but I doubt it. I expect my story is similar to hundreds of thousands of people who are on this list and find themselves inconvenienced.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tC&rsquo;est dire si Simon &#038; Garfunkel, avec leur <em>Missis Robinson<\/em> (\u00ab<em>Hey, hey, hey, hey missis Robinson<\/em>\u00bb), n&rsquo;ont qu&rsquo;\u00e0 bien se tenir. L&rsquo;\u00e9trange histoire de l&rsquo;ancien ministre adjoint de la justice des Etats-Unis bloqu\u00e9 <em>ad vitam eternam<\/em> sur la liste noire m\u00e9ga-kilom\u00e9trique des limiers am\u00e9ricanistes figure donc comme un joli symbole d&rsquo;une abracadabrantesque r\u00e9alit\u00e9 bureaucratique, exactement illustrative du syst\u00e8me tel qu&rsquo;en lui-m\u00eame, dans son chaos kafka\u00efen, sans espoir que jamais plus personne ne puisse le contr\u00f4ler. Nous nous sommes attach\u00e9s au cas de Jim Robinson mais il y en a tant d&rsquo;autres (voir aussi <em>WSWS.org<\/em>, le <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsws.org\/articles\/2008\/jul2008\/list-j17.shtml\" class=\"gen\">17 juillet<\/a>):<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>Since February of this year the ACLU has maintained an online watch list counter to track the size of the government&rsquo;s watch list. A September 2007 report by the inspector general of the Justice Department reported that the list contained 700,000 names and was growing by 20,000 per month. As of this writing, the counter has passed the 1,001,500 mark.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t()<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Thousands of innocent people have been caught up in the government&rsquo;s arbitrary dragnet and no-fly lists; many held for hours in interrogation rooms, threatened and denied due process. Those on the list have no right to access and challenge the data in which the list is based.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Members of Congress, nuns, war heroes and other suspicious characters,&rsquo; with names like Robert Johnson and Gary Smith, have become trapped in the Kafkaesque clutches of this list, with little hope of escape, said Caroline Fredrickson, director of the ACLU Washington Legislative Office.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>The ACLU said those on the list included South African leader Nelson Mandela; Evo Morales, president of Bolivia; and US Senator Edward Kennedy, Democrat from Massachusetts.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Appearing at the press conference was Akif Rahman, a computer consulting company founder from suburban Chicago, who was detained and questioned for more than two hours by US customs officials on four separate occasions when crossing the Canadian border. On one occasion, he was held for 5 \u00bd hours, shackled to a chair, and physically searched. He was also separated from his wife and children who were forced to wait in a small dirty public area without food or telephones. A US citizen born in Springfield Illinois, Rahman is being represented by the ACLU of Illinois in a lawsuit over this treatment.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t()<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Attorney David C. Nelson is one of many men named David Nelson around the US who has been caught up on the list, including a former star of the television show Ozzie and Harriet.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>The ACLU reported that the list even contained Saddam Hussein&rsquo;s name, although he was imprisoned in Baghdad and in US custody at the time. Ces circonstances montrent une incursion permanente dans la vie priv\u00e9e d&rsquo;autrui, sans aucun but, sans aucune intention (notamment, aucune intention d&rsquo;oppression polici\u00e8re particuli\u00e8re dans ce cas des erreurs de nom et d&rsquo;identification), simplement par suite d&rsquo;une erreur, d&rsquo;une confusion, d&rsquo;un exc\u00e8s de prudence, d&rsquo;inattention, de sottise pure et simple.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tEn effet, il est \u00e0 notre sens infond\u00e9 de rechercher quelque intention que ce soit dans de telles erreurs, et des erreurs maintenues, sinon \u00e0 s&rsquo;en remettre \u00e0 l&rsquo;obsession de l&rsquo;oppression polici\u00e8re caract\u00e9risant certains esprits critiques du syst\u00e8me. On se trouve devant un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne bureaucratique bien plus que policier, par cons\u00e9quent un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne m\u00e9canique aveugle et sans aucune capacit\u00e9 d&rsquo;adaptation; un pur produit d&rsquo;un syst\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ral caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 par le nihilisme et la chute dans l&rsquo;entropie niveleuse.
