A la lumi\u00e8re de cette d\u00e9cision et des remous qu&rsquo;elle suscita, il nous para\u00eet tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressant de signaler cet article de Stephen Lendman, du <a href=\"http:\/\/dissidentvoice.org\/2010\/02\/americas-supremes-court-over-constitution\/\" class=\"gen\">26 f\u00e9vrier 2010<\/a>, \u00ab<em>America&rsquo;s Supremes: Court Over Constitution<\/em>\u00bb.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tIl s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un historique d\u00e9taill\u00e9 sur la dictature que la Cour Supr\u00eame a fait peser sur la vie publique aux USA, et sur \u00ab<em>We, the people<\/em>\u00bb par cons\u00e9quent, depuis sa cr\u00e9ation en 1787. La Cour a constitu\u00e9 un puissant instrument pour prot\u00e9ger et renforcer les pouvoirs oligarchiques d\u00e9j\u00e0 en place \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine, et qui furent les v\u00e9ritables p\u00e8res fondateurs des Etats-Unis d&rsquo;Am\u00e9rique. L&rsquo;historique de la Cour d\u00e9montre que l&rsquo;image de l&rsquo;Etat de Droit qui nous s\u00e9duit tant constitue un v\u00e9hicule de communication puissant pour p\u00e9renniser, derri\u00e8re l&rsquo;apparence vertueuse de la garantie de la d\u00e9mocratie, la dictature de la Loi au profit des forces oligarchiques. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>On October 13, 1932, in laying the Supreme Court Building&rsquo;s cornerstone, Chief Justice Charles Evans Hughes said: The Republic endures and this is the symbol of its faith. The words Equal Justice Under Law adorn its west facade. Facing east is the motto Justice, the Guardian of Liberty. Since the Court&rsquo;s 1789 establishment, these words belie its decisions, arguments, and supreme allegiance to power, not We the people.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Since its founding, privilege always counted most in America. The prevailing fiction then and now is that constitutional checks and balances restrain government, the founders having created an egalitarian country free from wealth and poverty extremes common most elsewhere.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Like today, wealthy 18th century colonialists had vastly disproportional land holdings; controlled banking, commerce and industry; assured its own ran the government and courts; and the supreme law of the land, then and now, deters no president, sitting government, or Supreme Court from doing what they wish.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>From inception, America was always ruled by men, not laws, who lie, connive, misinterpret and pretty much do what they want for their own self-interest and powerful constituents. In 1787, the people who mattered most were elitists. The American revolution substituted new management for old.
