Sur le site <em>The Washington Note<\/em>, il en est fait une mention \u00e9logieuse, le <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewashingtonnote.com\/archives\/2010\/07\/the_northern_ti\/\" class=\"gen\">6 juillet 2010<\/a>, marquant effectivement l&rsquo;accueil int\u00e9ress\u00e9 qui en a \u00e9t\u00e9 fait.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tCet article de Crooke met en \u00e9vidence l&rsquo;effacement rapide des acteurs traditionnels, tous soutenus par les USA, tels qu&rsquo;Isra\u00ebl, l&rsquo;Egypte, la Jordanie et l&rsquo;Arabie, au profit du <em>northern tier<\/em>, compos\u00e9 de la Syrie, de la Turquie, de l&rsquo;Iran et du Qatar, \u00e9ventuellement avec le Liban et l&rsquo;Irak. On comprend, \u00e0 cet \u00e9nonc\u00e9, qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une influence nouvelle radicalement modifi\u00e9 dans son orientation, et hostile \u00e0 l&rsquo;influence US.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tBen Katcher, de <em>The Washington Note<\/em>, cite notamment ce passage de l&rsquo;introduction de l&rsquo;article de Crooke, qui dit effectivement l&rsquo;essentiel de son propos.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>Behind the northern tier&rsquo;s ascendancy in regional politics lies the perception that Syria and its allies have read the Middle Eastern ground better than the United States and its allies, especially since they Iran, Syria, and Turkey judged the Iraq war correctly from the perspective of the region, even though Washington viewed Syrian and Turkish opposition to the invasion as an unhelpful stance. Syria and Iran are also seen to be standing in a pivotal position to shape the future of Iraq. More importantly, all three are seen to have read the prospects for a Palestinian state more accurately than others.
