Cela permet, au passage, de r\u00e9gler quelques comptes. C&rsquo;est le cas ici de l&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e9gant et renomm\u00e9 commentateur du <em>Daily Telegraph<\/em> Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, le <a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/finance\/comment\/ambroseevans_pritchard\/8012175\/The-IMF-itself-has-become-the-problem-as-Europes-woes-return.html\" class=\"gen\">19 septembre 2010<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tApr\u00e8s une explication extr\u00eamement complexe et <em>authoritative<\/em>, o\u00f9 il d\u00e9taille d&rsquo;une fa\u00e7on imp\u00e9rative et convaincante, pour ceux qui le suivent, la crise de l&rsquo;euro qui se poursuit, Evans-Pritchard en vient au principal. Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une attaque frontale contre le tr\u00e8s-Fran\u00e7ais DSK, accus\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00eatre un agent de l&rsquo;id\u00e9ologie UE, par cons\u00e9quent le FMI devenu une sorte d&rsquo;instrument de subversion aux mains des Europ\u00e9ens. He has promulgated an insidious doctrine that sovereign defaults are Unnecessary, Undesirable, and Unlikely.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Let us be honest, the Fund has become a font of incoherence, an engine of moral hazard. In August, it abolished its credit ceiling and created a new tool to rush fresh debt to states that need more debt like a hole in the head.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Simon Johnson says the solution for EMU&rsquo;s orphans is debt reduction along the lines of Brady Bonds in Latin America in the 1980s, forcing creditors to share pain in an orderly fashion and giving debtors a way out of the morass.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>In fairness to EU policymakers, perhaps the problem really is so big that if they let Greece, Portugal, or Ireland restructure debt they risk instant contagion to Spain, and from there to Italy. Perhaps they really have no choice.
