Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 question ce week-end d’un cadeau US (plus de quincaillerie militaire US) fait \u00e0 Isra\u00ebl pour que Netanyahou d\u00e9cide un gel de 90 jours des nouvelles implantations dans les territoires palestiniens. L’id\u00e9e a provoqu\u00e9 un vague malaise et un certain nombre de r\u00e9criminations scandalis\u00e9es chez les commentateurs US ind\u00e9pendants.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\tThe Economist<\/em>, lui, estime que c’est peut-\u00eatre moins un nouvel acte de soumission de l’administration BHO \u00e0 la politique isra\u00e9lienne, qu’un moyen de chantage Cela, sur son site Lexington<\/em>, ce 15 novembre 2010<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00ab…But isn’t there another way of looking at this supposed \u00ab\u00a0incentive\u00a0\u00bb? Until this weekend, most people assumed that Israel enjoyed an unconditional American promise to maintain its military edge, and a nearly unconditional promise to support it in the United Nations. Now it seems that President Obama is making the continuation of some of these things conditional on Israel’s acceptance of a three-month settlement freeze, during which Israel will be pressed to agree final borders with a putative Palestinian state in the West Bank. That could be construed as a less confrontational, and more subtle, but no less effective version of the way George Bush senior forced a reluctant Yitzhak Shamir to the 1991 Madrid peace conference by withholding loan guarantees. Maybe, just maybe, the Obama peace push in Palestine has stronger legs than jaded onlookers have realised.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Question : est-ce vraiment un cadeau<\/a>, le JSF ? Un chroniqueur s’est tout de m\u00eame avis\u00e9 de la chose. Citant un discours (le 15 novembre) de John McCain, o\u00f9 le s\u00e9nateur r\u00e9publicain attaque \u00e0 nouveau<\/a> le JSF (\u00abHe said the Lockheed Martin Corp F-35 fighter program, now projected to cost $382 billion, was one example, saying it was unacceptable that the cost of each fighter jet was now double what was initially planned.<\/em>\u00bb), Paul Woodward, de War in Context<\/em>, remarque justement (le 16 novembre 2010<\/a>) :<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
