Nul ne semble vraiment vouloir discuter que les r\u00e9sultats pour le mois de mai du ch\u00f4mage aux USA, ou, plus joliment dit, les r\u00e9sultats de l’emploi, sont catastrophiques. Pour Robert Reich, ce 3 juin 2011<\/a>, le sort en est jet\u00e9, et la soi disant reprise a v\u00e9cu. Nous ne sommes plus loin d’une tendance qui nous ram\u00e8nerait vers un ch\u00f4mage officiel (toujours \u00e0 majorer de pr\u00e8s de 100%) \u00e0 deux chiffres (10% et au-del\u00e0) et \u00e0 un retour \u00e0 la r\u00e9cession aux USA.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\tDans ces conditions \u00e9conomiques, estime Reich, Obama ne peut vraiment esp\u00e9rer se faire r\u00e9\u00e9lire Mais les r\u00e9publicains, qui bataillent faussement sur le d\u00e9ficit et prot\u00e8gent les super riches et le Corporate Power<\/em>, ne peuvent esp\u00e9rer non plus une r\u00e9\u00e9lection, estime Reich Well<\/em>, que reste-t-il ? Ron Paul, d\u00e9barrass\u00e9 de l’\u00e9tiquette r\u00e9publicain ? Is it a joke<\/em> ou la fin du Disneyworld<\/em> consensus ?<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00abThe May jobs report is a disaster the weakest reading since September. Non-farm payrolls grew only 54,000 last month, according to the Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics. Private employment rose only 83,000 the smallest growth since last June. Government payrolls dropped 29,000.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbThe overall jobless rate rose to 9.1 percent.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbTogether with plummeting housing prices, falling wages for non-supervisory workers, a paltry 1.8 percent growth in the first quarter, and a precipitous drop in consumer confidence, the picture should be clear to anyone able to see clearly.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbThe recovery has stalled.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbWe’re not in a double dip yet, but the odds are increasing.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbThe question is whether all this will wake up Washington, and stop the monumental distraction of the games being played over the debt ceiling and long-term budget deficit. The Republican lie that the nation’s long-term budget deficit is responsible for high unemployment would be laughable if it weren’t so tragically irrelevant to the current situation.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\t\u00bbThe President cannot be reelected if the economy tanks. He may not even be reelected on an anemic recovery in which unemployment remains nearly this high. But all incumbents are endangered. Republican House members from swing districts are toast if they don’t show voters they’re actively working on the twin problems of jobs and wages.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
