Glenn Greenwald et Laura Poitras, les deux ma\u00eetres d&rsquo;uvre pour la communication dans la crise NSA\/Snowden, reviennent aujourd&rsquo;hui aux USA pour un s\u00e9jour temporaire, pour la premi\u00e8re fois depuis qu&rsquo;a \u00e9clat\u00e9 la crise NSA\/Snowden. Ils sont \u00e0 New York aujourd&rsquo;hui, notamment pour recevoir la distinction <em>George Polk Award in Journalism<\/em> pour 2013, distinction portant le nom du journaliste <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/George_Polk_Awards\" class=\"gen\">George Polk<\/a>, de CBS, assassin\u00e9 en Gr\u00e8ce en 1948. Ce Prix est l&rsquo;un des plus marquants aux USA, et le plus prestigieux, pour la reconnaissance d&rsquo;un journalisme ind\u00e9pendant.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tPoitras et Greenwald partagent le prix avec Ewen MacAskill du <em>Guardian<\/em> et Barton Gellman du Washington <em>Post<\/em>, tous quatre pour leurs reportages, pr\u00e9sentation, commentaires, etc. du fonds Snowden. Il est \u00e0 noter que cette distinction figure dans une cat\u00e9gorie qui appara\u00eet pour la premi\u00e8re fois dans le rangement du <em>George Polk Award in Journalism<\/em> : le <em>National Security Reporting<\/em> (voir <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_George_Polk_Award_winners\" class=\"gen\">la liste<\/a> des titulaires et des cat\u00e9gories depuis 1948). Nous interpr\u00e9terons cette sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9 sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent comme la signification que les activit\u00e9s journalistiques figurant dans le cadre du fonds Snowden repr\u00e9sentent un exercice journalistique compl\u00e8tement nouveau, qui constitue moins une cat\u00e9gorie d&rsquo;activit\u00e9 du journalisme qu&rsquo;une cat\u00e9gorie d&rsquo;activit\u00e9 journalistique consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 un seul sujet sp\u00e9cifique touchant plusieurs domaines de la vie nationale US. Il s&rsquo;agit de la reconnaissance que l&rsquo;exploitation du fonds Snowden repr\u00e9sente un exercice unique dans l&rsquo;histoire du journalisme.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t&#8230;L\u00e0-dessus, bien entendu, on attend surtout de voir dans quelles conditions aura lieu le s\u00e9jour de Poitras et de Greenwald aux USA, s&rsquo;ils seront inqui\u00e9t\u00e9s par les autorit\u00e9s, de quelle fa\u00e7on si c&rsquo;est le cas, etc. (La nouvelle dans <em>HuffingtonPost<\/em>, le <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2014\/04\/10\/glenn-greenwald-return-laura-poitras-snowden_n_5125574.html\" class=\"gen\">10 avril 2014<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00ab<em>Greenwald and Poitras, currently in Berlin, will attend Friday&rsquo;s Polk Awards ceremony in New York City. The two journalists are sharing the prestigious journalism award with The Guardian&rsquo;s Ewen MacAskill and with Barton Gellman, who has led The Washington Post&rsquo;s reporting on the NSA documents. Greenwald and Poitras interviewed Snowden last June in Hong Kong as he first revealed himself.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>In an interview with The Huffington Post, Greenwald said he&rsquo;s motivated to return because certain factions in the U.S. government have deliberately intensified the threatening climate for journalists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\tIt&rsquo;s just the principle that I shouldn&rsquo;t allow those tactics to stop me from returning to my own country, Greenwald said. Greenwald suggested government officials and members of Congress have used the language of criminalization as a tactic to chill investigative journalism.<\/em> [&#8230;]<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>\t\u00bb<em>Greenwald said the government has not informed his legal counsel whether or not he could face any potential charges, or if he&rsquo;s been named in any grand jury investigation tied to the NSA disclosures. Journalists have faced increased threats during the Obama years, both in the government&rsquo;s severe crackdown on leaks and the record use of the Espionage Act to prosecute sources who provide classified information to the media. During a March conference on the state of national security reporting, Sen.
