Elle rapporte l’explication de Pépé Escobar.

«Asia Times correspondent Pepe Escobar says that what the US and NATO perceive as a collective victory in the making will just be the next step in expanding their agenda into Libya. He says that the master plan is to isolate, and while the United State might call it humanitarian interventionism, he reminds us that that’s what the American ruling elites rebranded Bush’s agenda in the Middle East during his administrations.

»People have such short memory, says Escobar. This reminds me of . . . the coalition provisional authority in Iraq in 2003. This is the same thing. We’re going to have western boots on the ground and we’re going to open up Libya for hardcore, no holds barred, terrible capitalism, adds Escobar. This is completely crazy.

»According to Escobar, the next step is to get American hands on Libyan oil, and, in his words, if this is the way that US and NATO goes, we’re going to have Iraq 2.0. And with Americans in control in place of Gaddafi, Escobar next suggests that Syria will be only next in the stepping stone for American domination.»

La seconde est du 24 août 2011. Cette fois, il s’agit d’interventions de sources françaises, ou portant sur les projets et manigances française dans cette affaire.

«French oil companies are likely to be among those hoping for lucrative oil contracts with a new government in Libya. But the cost of the intervention and the unknown agenda of the rebels could mean more losses than gains. []

» One of the first members of the French team in Bengazhi in March was a representative of Total, the French oil company, and Total is not very far from all this of course, says Rony Braumann, president of Doctors without Borders (1982-1994).

» It’s well known it’s a war for oil, the so-called opposition government has promised to give the oil to France, investigative journalist Michel Collon told RT.

»France officially claims its war mission is over. But analysts tip it to secretly stay on in Libya, and make sure it profits. France and the UK are maintaining their military presence in Libya, even though it’s not part of the resolution, Pierre Guerlain of Paris West University has said.

»But keeping troops in the country means heavy costs drag on. Latest polls say most French people now oppose the military intervention. French MP and vice president of the National Front, Wallerand de Saint-Just, sees further bloodshed and a hefty price tag to deal with it. The war is far from over, he said. And this invasion is already costing much more than we get back.

»Fears are growing that Libya’s new leaders are too divided to win the peace. Pierre Guerlain points to the rebels’ murder of their military chief General Younes last month. Experts warn widespread rebel looting and executions mean France’s problems may have only just begun.»

Deux explications similaires dans l’esprit, aussi crédibles l’une que l’autre, puisque toutes les deux élaborées à partir de sources qu’on suppose elles-mêmes d’excellent crédit et exprimant une perception bien dans l’air du temps.
