Pourquoi d\u00e9velopper des sch\u00e9mas si compliqu\u00e9s où la CIA recoupe l’Arabie, se fiance avec la Turquie, cligne de l’œil vers le Qatar, où le p\u00e9trole se m\u00e9lange au Grand Jeu et le Califat \u00e0 l’Empire, pour expliquer le d\u00e9veloppement de Daesh<\/em> ? Pourquoi chercher des r\u00e9f\u00e9rences m\u00e9di\u00e9vales pour appr\u00e9cier les m\u00e9thodes de Daesh<\/em> ? Pourquoi, lorsqu’on a reconnu la parent\u00e8le, percevoir Daesh<\/em> comme le Frankenstein que nous avons enfant\u00e9 ?<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Daesh<\/em> n’est rien de moins que l’enfant naturel, normal, ressemblant comme deux gouttes d’eau \u00e0 son p\u00e8re et ayant les m\u00eames pratiques que lui, \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s aussi barbare que lui et d’une barbarie qui d\u00e9passe la r\u00e9f\u00e9rence m\u00e9di\u00e9vale ; et son p\u00e8re incontestable, c’est la syst\u00e8me de l’am\u00e9ricanisme, dans sa s\u00e9quence, qui est le prolongement de tant d’autres, qui a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 l’automne 2001 et qui a acquis sa vitesse de croisi\u00e8re \u00e0 partir du printemps 2003 avec l’invasion et l’occupation de l’Irak par les forces arm\u00e9es US (plus les suppl\u00e9tifs britanniques). L’enfant-Daesh<\/em> s’emploie \u00e0 se montrer digne du p\u00e8re mais il a encore du chemin \u00e0 faire et il n’est pas assur\u00e9 qu’il y parvienne tant nous avons, nous autres de la \u00ab\u00a0contre-civilisation\u00a0\u00bb dont l’am\u00e9ricanisme est l’incontestable leader, de maîtrise dans la barbarie.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Ce 30 d\u00e9cembre, RT publie le t\u00e9moignage<\/a> d’un ancien Marine US, Vincent Emanuele, qui effectua plusieurs tours d’op\u00e9ration en Irak, notamment en 2003-2005, et dont il a r\u00e9cemment tir\u00e9 un article qui a alert\u00e9 le r\u00e9seau russe. Il faut noter qu’Emanuele pr\u00e9cise que c’est la fr\u00e9quentation et la lecture de dissidents comme Chomsky et Zinn qui lui a permis de conceptualiser son exp\u00e9rience, ce qui laisse \u00e0 penser que de nombreux t\u00e9moins (les soldats US), en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral peu \u00e9duqu\u00e9s, sont incapables, non seulement de conceptualiser leur exp\u00e9rience, mais d’en r\u00e9aliser le cadre de barbarie absolue où elle \u00e9volue. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, si l’on sait \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s ce qui s’est pass\u00e9 en Irak, – et qu’on s’est empress\u00e9 d’oublier, – il n’y a eu jusqu’ici qu’assez peu de t\u00e9moignages directs. A l’heure de Daesh<\/em>, le fils m\u00e9ritant, le rappel est bienvenu, par exemple s’il conduisait \u00e0 se demander si l’on ne continue pas \u00e0 se conduire, dans nos exp\u00e9ditions diverses, de la m\u00eame fa\u00e7on.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Former Marine Vincent Emanuele’s acknowledgement of responsibility comes in an article that was posted<\/a> on TeleSUR’s English website, in which he hoped to answer the often raised question of \u00ab\u00a0Where did ISIS come from?\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bbWhen I was stationed in Iraq with the 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, 2003-2005, I didn’t know what the repercussions of the war would be, but I knew there would be a reckoning,\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> he wrote at TeleSUR. \u00ab\u00a0That retribution, otherwise known as blowback, is currently being experienced around the world (Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, France, Tunisia, California, and so on), with no end in sight.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

» Speaking with RT, Emanuele said his enlightenment came on his second tour to Iraq and was the result of a simple question.<\/em> \u00ab\u00a0I saw my fellow Marines kill innocent people, torture innocent civilians, destroying property, mutilating dead bodies, running over dead corpses, laughing and photographing people while doing so,\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> he said. \u00ab\u00a0For me it was very simple. I sat there in Iraq and I asked myself ‘How would I behave?’ ‘What would I think if I was in the shoes of the Iraqi people?'\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

» In his article, Emanuele described how he and his platoon literally trashed Mesopotamia by throwing garbage out of their Humvee, and pelting children with Skittles, water bottles full of urine, rocks, and debris. He remembers stories told by soldiers of torture carried out on detainees in makeshift detention facilities.<\/em> \u00ab\u00a0I vividly remember the marines telling me about punching, slapping, kicking, elbowing, kneeing and head-butting Iraqis. I remember the tales of sexual torture; forcing Iraqi men to perform sexual acts on each other while marines held knives against their testicles, sometimes sodomizing them with batons,\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> wrote Emanuele. This would have been at the height of the Abu Ghraib prison scandal in 2003, which came to public attention when Amnesty International published reports of human rights abuses by the US military and its coalition partners at detention centers and prisons in Iraq. One former prisoner of the US who survived was Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who is now the leader of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS\/ISIL)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

» Emanuele said he began educating himself during his second tour by talking to family and friends and engaging in the work of anti-war activists and intellectuals like Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, and Amy Goodman, as well as learning about the activities of groups such as Veterans for Peace<\/a>, Iraq Veterans Against the War<\/a>, and Vietnam Veterans against the War<\/a>. This helped him contextualize his anecdotal experience.<\/em> \u00ab\u00a0I knew what I was seeing was wrong, I knew it was immoral, I knew it was unjust, I knew it was illegal,\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> said Emanuele to RT, \u00ab\u00a0and I knew that we would pay severe consequences in the form of the blowback as we are seeing with groups like ISIS. I knew those things were going to happen back then just from being a self-conscious person.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
