On sait que la convention d\u00e9mocrate de Philadelphie, qui est sur le point de se terminer, est un \u00e9norme fiasco, dynamit\u00e9e qu’elle fut au d\u00e9part par la fourn\u00e9e de presque-20.000 emails venus de WikiLeaks<\/em> et mettant en \u00e9vidence l’extraordinaire corruption du DNC (Democratic National Committee<\/em>) et la fa\u00e7on dont il a compl\u00e8tement sabot\u00e9 la campagne de Sanders. La \u00ab\u00a0riposte\u00a0\u00bb de l’\u00e9quipe Clinton, qui a subi de plein fouet le contrecoup de cette affaire est d’en faire un complot russe au profit et avec la complicit\u00e9 de Trump. Grosse, tr\u00e8s grosse narrative<\/em>, outre le fait que flinguer le pr\u00e9tendu-messager n’a jamais rien enlev\u00e9 \u00e0 la teneur du message, si catastrophique pour le parti d\u00e9mocrate… Mais passons l\u00e0-dessus avant d’y revenir \u00e0 une autre occasion, tr\u00e8s proche sans doute, pour nous attacher \u00e0 une intervention int\u00e9ressante.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Il s’agit de l’intervention de DEBKAFiles<\/em>, le site proche des services de renseignement isra\u00e9lien. Le 26 juillet<\/a>, ce site publie une analyse rapide des circonstances techniques du hacking <\/em>du serveur du DNC, pour conclure qu’il ne peut s’agir d’une intervention des Russes, sp\u00e9cifiquement du GRU. Citant ses habituelles \u00ab\u00a0sources\u00a0\u00bb du renseignement et de la cyberd\u00e9fense, DEBKAFiles <\/em>en conclut que ce ne peut \u00eatre les Russes ; les \u00ab\u00a0sources\u00a0\u00bb en question peuvent arguer de leurs connaissances \u00e9lev\u00e9es aussi bien que de certains liens privil\u00e9gi\u00e9s qu’elles ont avec le renseignement russes, pour soutenir leur argumentation… DEBKAFile<\/em> termine en disant que Clinton peut s’attendre \u00e0 de nouvelles livraisons qui vont continuer \u00e0 endommager tr\u00e8s s\u00e9rieusement sa campagne, ce qui est par ailleurs annonc\u00e9 par Assange<\/a>. On tirera les enseignements qu’on veut d’une analyse qui innocente les Russes tout en mettant en \u00e9vidence leur puissance, qui favorise Trump aux d\u00e9pens du parti d’Obama.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

« However, an analysis by DEBKAfile’s intelligence and cyber defense sources has determined that the hacking was almost certainly not carried out by the GRU’s cyber warfare branch, contrary to assertions by senior DNC officials who fix the blame on Russian intelligence. » 2. Intelligence organizations, including those of Russia, are usually fully focused on seeking security, strategic and economic data. It is hard to see Russian military intelligence, whose resources are stretched, expending time and manpower on digging out the DMC’s views of Bernie Sanders’ religiosity. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

» 3. Then, too, CrowdStrike’s claim to have cracked the case in two hours is hardly credible. Getting to the bottom of an APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) calls for extra-powerful computers, working in conjunction with the internet service provider (ISP), and consuming weeks, if not months of analysis. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

» 4. Attributing the hacking attack to the Russians provided US agencies with a convenient reminder that the most notorious leaker of classified US documents, Edward Snowden, still lives safe from prosecution in Russian exile, and that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, remains in asylum at the Ecuadorean embassy in Britain.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

» The true identity of the hacker that sent the cat among the Democratic party pigeons, at the most damaging moment for Hillary Clinton, remains the subject of conjecture for lack of firm proof. The leading suspects may well be one or more of her party opponents. But although the current crisis may be glossed over in the interim to allow the convention and nomination to take its course, the Clinton campaign up until November is more than likely to be bedeviled by fresh e-mails leaked via WikiLeaks or other means that are just as embarrassing.<\/em> »<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
