Le dernier en date dans cette agitation, c’est l’affaire des sondages Hillary-Trump depuis trois semaines, qui devient un extraordinaire pacours de montagnes russes (quoique cette image \u00ab\u00a0poutinienne\u00a0\u00bb ne soit pas des plus heureuses, question de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 nationale). Jusqu’au d\u00e9but juillet, Hillary menait (d’ailleurs depuis longtemps, avec une avance d’autour de 5 points) ; \u00e0 partir du d\u00e9but juillet et jusqu’\u00e0 la convention r\u00e9publicaine, Trump s’installa \u00e0 \u00e9galit\u00e9, voire en t\u00eate de 2-3 points devant Hillary ; avec la convention d\u00e9mocrate, qui fut pourtant chaotique, puis avec quelques fausses manœuvres de taille de Trump, Hillary prit soudain une avance consid\u00e9rable, d\u00e9passant les 10 points, parfois jusqu’\u00e0 15 points (sondage McClatchy du 3 août).
